Encouraging

Strengthening the Body of Christ

At Tampa Bay Baptist Association, we believe that encouragement is essential to a thriving ministry. In a world filled with challenges, pastors, leaders, and churches need consistent support, prayer, and connection to remain faithful and fruitful in their calling.

A Culture of Care

Encouragement is more than words—it is presence, partnership, and genuine care. We are committed to walking alongside our churches and leaders, celebrating victories, and standing together in seasons of difficulty.
Ministry was never meant to be done alone.

Encouraging Pastors and Leaders

We intentionally invest in the spiritual, emotional, and relational health of those who lead. Through gatherings, prayer support, and personal connections, we seek to:
Strengthen pastors in their calling Provide spaces for fellowship and mutual encouragement Offer support during times of challenge or transition Healthy leaders cultivate healthy churches.

Encouraging Churches

Every church plays a vital role in advancing the Gospel in our region. We come alongside congregations to affirm their mission, support their efforts, and remind them that they are part of something greater.
Whether large or small, every church matters—and every effort counts in God’s Kingdom.

Encouraging Unity

In a diverse and multicultural region like Tampa Bay, unity is a powerful testimony. We foster collaboration over competition, creating opportunities for churches to connect, pray, and serve together.
When the Church stands united, the Gospel shines brighter.

A Shared Journey

Encouragement fuels perseverance. By strengthening one another, we remain focused on the mission and faithful to the calling God has placed before us.

Our Commitment

We exist to Encourage, Equip, and Multiply—believing that through encouragement, we strengthen leaders, uplift churches, and build a resilient and united body of Christ throughout Tampa Bay and beyond.

J15 is a monthly pastors’ gathering that is designed so that pastors can build genuine friendships with each other. This will enable pastors to more deeply love God (John 15:4-7), love each other (John 15:12-15, 17), and lead many of their church members to personally share the gospel and make disciples (John 15:8, 16).

Each J15 Gathering will include the following:

1. Reminding Together – an interactive biblical discussion (no sermons allowed)
2. Praying Together – earnest prayer based on God’s word
3. Eating Together – friendships are more easily developed around good food
