Workshop Leaders
- Dr. Charles Roesel – Pastors
For 30 years, Dr. Roesel served the First Baptist Church of Leesburg, FL; which is now considered the model for the nation in Ministry Evangelism. The church was in the top 1% of the nation in evangelism and mission giving.
- Tony Hoffman – Adult Sunday School (teachers, directors, care groups)
Tony has served in churches as a Children’s Minister, Minister of Education, and Associate Pastor, and with the Florida Baptist Convention. He is currently serving as the Discipleship Pastor at FBC Leesburg. Tony is convinced that Sunday School and small groups are fundamental ministries that all churches need if they are going to equip their members to fulfill the Great Commission.
- Chip Luter – Student Sunday School
Chip is currently the Campus Pastor of Idlewild Sulphur Springs. He has served as a student Pastor for many years Franklin Street Baptist Church in New Orleans and has a passion for reaching lost students and discipling them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
- Amy Keifer – Children’s Sunday School –
Amy Kiefer has a gift for teaching children. She has served faithfully as the Girls in Action (GA) leader at Carrollwood Baptist Church for over 20 years, teaching children how to put hands and feet to the Gospel. She has also served for several years on the Florida Baptist Convention Women’s Missions and Ministries Preschool/Children’s Team. She has spoken at churches around Florida and has equipped children’s leaders. - Pat Quimby – Preschool Sunday School
Pat has served for many years as the preschool Director at Idlewild Baptist Church. She helped young children build a solid, biblical foundation so that they can wholeheartedly follow Christ as they get older. - Nick Colton – Discipleship (making disciples who make disciples)
Nick is currently the pastor of Grow Ministries at FBC Temple Terrace. He serves to develop leaders whose passion for Jesus Christ propels them to love others by telling them the truth about Jesus, ministering to their physical needs, and leading them through the disciple-making process. - Paul Vahue – Administration (Budgeting, facilities, staff, etc.)
Paul is currently the Associate Pastor of Administration at FBC Lutz. He has overseen landscape maintenance operations in seven Florida counties, as well as acting as executive housekeeper for a 245-suite hotel. His experiences have uniquely prepared him for Administrative Ministry. It is his desire to be a good steward over all the resources that God has so richly provided for the FBC Lutz community. - Carol Clark – Women’s Discipleship – (Training Women: Breaking the Cycle of non-Discipleship)
Carol has worked with the Florida Baptist Convention Women’s Missions & Ministries for over 15 years, with the Tampa Bay Baptist Association for over 9 years, and also serves at Myrtle Lake BC. - David Burgess – Deacon Ministries
David is the new pastor at Northgate Baptist Church and has served in Baptist churches for over 30 years. For the last 17 years he has worked with 12 struggling churches to assist them in becoming healthy, great commission churches. He has worked closely with deacons in each of these churches to enable them to become servant leaders that are a great help to their pastors.
